“Together, we can create beautiful and comfortable environments.”

About CMA

I started with an interest in space planning and art that developed into a passion for interior design. After earning a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design from California State University, Sacramento, I started hand drafting for a local architect and quickly transitioned to merchandising model homes. It was a wonderful career experience with building houses and communities from start to finish. In addition to creating the “model home look,” I contributed to floor plan development, creating color palettes for each community's exteriors and designing all upgraded finishes. Three to four completely different design styles per community.

After nine years, in 2002, I opened my own Interior Design firm, Chris Merenda-Axtell Interior Design (DesignCMA) and Farmer’s Daughter Home Accessories in Lyon Village. My work has been featured in design magazines and home tours. I am fortunate to love what I do. Together, we can create beautiful and comfortable environments. Whether your taste runs toward timeless classic design or the current style, my resources and years of experience are here to help you achieve your goals.
